Rapid transport of materials in dental enamel

A rapid transport of Thoulet's solution with refractive index of 1.56 replacing all the water content of the nanopores in dental enamel has been reported using electrokinetic flow. An observed birefringence a bit higher than -50 x 10(-4) was measured in normal human enamel after 3 hours for the first time in the literature. Abstract is presented in the scientific program of the Enamel VIII Conference (8-12 June, 2011) - http://www.enamelconference.com/pages/program.htm.
A new technology for a rapid and controlled transport of materials in dental enamel has been developed and can be used to test new materials/procedures to industry in Dentistry.
